ALIFE Brand Profile
Way back in 1999 in downtown New York a new street-wear brand was born. Alife knew exactly what they wanted to do and had a simple concept to achieve it. The brand would be based ‘on and in’ New York, particularly downtown New York where the coolest and most authentic scenes took place.
As we all know the Big Apple has played its part in producing some of the most significant cultural trends in recent history, from the art scene, with Andy Warhol, to the emergence of an entirely new musical genre in the 80’s with the birth of hip-hop. Alife also gets the whole New York thing, they live for it. “Art, creativity and originality” are a few of the Alife buzz words, along with the idea that they aim to showcase the authentic downtown spirit, whatever that may be. Music, art, film, sports and a general appreciation for the original individual all play a vital part in the Alife agenda, and they do this whilst refusing to be ‘pigeon holed’.
This particular brand ethos oozes from every fibre of the Alife collections incorporating awesome graphic designs, which combine art and fashion into one street-wear brand.
