Today at Red Square Clothing we received a special delivery, a brand new collaboration jacket between  renowned British footwear label Pointer and Baracuta.

The collaboration takes the historic & World Cup Winning Raincoat – the Ramsey G23 – and brings forth the attention to detail and quality finish that Pointer have became famous for, The results see the G23 Wax Mac take a brand new form – appearing for the first time ever in Dark Navy! Coming Soon – Pretty Green Desert Boots!

For months now we have read blogs & news items, been fed snippets of information and had the occasional glimpse of an image regarding the Pretty Green x Clark’s footwear collaboration. However, the long and arduous wait is almost at its end as the Pretty Green desert boots are now within touching distance!

That’s right, coming very soon to Red Square are possibly the most discussed and debated items of footwear in recent years.

So, as you may or may not already know Liam and Pretty Green have collaborated with Clark’s on the iconic desert boots. The Pretty Green version however, has been slightly modified by Mr Gallagher himself to suit his own, very stylish, tastes. He has lowered the heel; it is now not so chunky and made the toe slightly rounder giving the boot an overall slimmer and sleeker appearance.

The boots come in four different colour-ways; brown, black, green and champagne (off white). Each pair will also have a tonal, suede logo tag, very smart indeed.

Loake 1880 – Handcrafted English Shoes

Loake is most famous for its Goodyear Welted footwear, an intricate construction with origins that can be traced back over 300 years. To this day the company estimate that they have made over 50 million pairs.

Loakes premium Goodyear Welted shoes continue to be made in England and take eight weeks to produce. Some 130 skilled craftspeople, up to 75 shoe parts and approximately 200 different operations are involved. Only the very highest quality materials are used in the production to ultimitely achieve the very best handcrafted designer shoe.

Here at Red Square Clothing we have initially aquired two great styles from Loake, the Burford Boot and the Ashby Shoe, both have Goodyear Welted Leather soles, in soles and lining, come in a Tan colour and also arrive at your door in a typically designer English shoe box complete with spare laces, classic Loake 1880 carry bag and small booklet providing you with all you need to know about this great homegrown brand .

Summer 2010’s Awesome Attractions

The summer of 2010 is hastily turning into an absolute classic, one to remember for some time to come in fact. But how is it different from any other summer, I hear you cry, well for starters its FIFA World Cup time again and South Africa is proving to be a sensational venue due to its colourful African spirit and the distinct blare of the vuvuzela (however annoying they have proved to be). But that’s not all folks, oh no, Wimbledon is back and the hopes of a nation rest on one man’s shoulders… even if he is Scottish! However, we’re not finished yet. Glastonbury is back too with some big names like Muse, Snoop Dog, Gorillaz and literally hundreds more. Now you’d be forgiven for thinking this was enough and usually it would be but this year Britain is experiencing something rather unusual, something called… the SUN! Oh yes, 2010 is actually providing some decent beer garden weather.

All of this great sport, music and weather is lacking something though, something which will make you stand out from the crowd whilst sitting in a beer watching England win the World Cup or in a field watching Snoop Dog (of all people) mash it up on the pyramid stage. That’s right, some decent clobber from Red Square. So here are a few suggestions to get you thinking.

A new brand set to arrive with us very soon is the brilliant Passarella Death Squad, who are first and foremost a house/electro style music band, but have now began to branch out and try their hand in the fashion game, as seems to be an emerging trend with many of todays musicians.

Passarella Death Squad was established in 2004 by Danny Broddle & Emilie Albisser, the range itself is manufactured in only London & Japan and all garments are comprised from the very highest quality Japanese fabrics.
