Detroit, 1889, and a young man named Hamilton Carhartt has just founded a company which would become the most influential work-wear clothing brand of all time. Carhartt immediately set the standard for innovative design and exceptional standards of quality, durability and comfort.
 

This philosophy of creating unique designs alongside quality and comfort also extend into Carhartt’s street-wear range. Their desire to support artists, musicians, and urban sports such as BMX and skateboarding has seen Carhartt create their own teams for such events as The Rebel Jam and European Skateboard Championships.
 

It was in 1994 that Carhartt street-wear was introduced to the European market and has since gone on to dominate both urban and mainstream markets and is yet another testament to Carhartt’s quality that such a cross over has been achieved in such a fiercely competitive marketplace. To this day Carhartt is still a family run organisation owned and operated by descendants of the great man himself.
