Gant was established in 1949 by Hungarian born Bernard Gant. However, the Gant story begins way back in 1910 when Bernard started to work in New York’s garment district. After a while Bernard relocated to New Haven, Connecticut, where he fully established himself by manufacturing high quality shirts to some of the best labels around. Gant’s mark of quality was sealed with a discreet ‘G’ stamped just above the bottom hem of each shirt.
Since Gant’s humble beginnings, in 1949, the brand has gone from strength to strength becoming one of the world’s best, and highest regarded lifestyle brands. Gant is famous for offering truly excellent American sportswear heritage.
