Garbstore

GARBSTORE
In 2007, after learning his craft under Paul Smith and then going on to establish his own brand, One True Saxon, Ian Paley decided to branch out once more and created Garbstore.
The brand is unique as it not only creates and manufactures quality, vintage inspired garments but also has its own store situated in trendy Portobello, London. The brand and store were launched simultaneously, hence the name Garb/store. In an interview Paley stated “I like the use of the word ‘garb’ because like so many other things these days, its use is dying out”.
Paley’s passion for the past and all things vintage is not only restricted to the archaic brand name. Heritage and vintage fashion is what Garbstore continuously strives towards. In their own words the brand mission is to ‘create familiar garments, not outlandish pieces, garments with a foot in the past and a look to the future’. One way in which Garbstore achieves this is through the sole use of vintage union machines and the collection of dead-stock vintage clothing which is lovingly restored and redesigned.
Garbstore adheres to one rule only, quality! And this is exactly the word which springs to mind when you think of this amazingly inspiring brand.
