Garbstore, Ian Paley’s new clothing line is in actual fact a three dimensional creative exercise compromising the men’s wear clothing line, a store as well as the Garbstore website.

Ian Paley’s career so for includes being the founder & designer of seminal British label One True Saxon, Senior Designer for Paul Smith Jeans, Red-Ear, R.Newbold and Thomas Burberry & Levi’s Strauss. He lives and works in London.

Garbstore aspires to be and draws its influence from what can be coined unfamiliar Vintage. The Vintage references are both obvious and subliminal. This menswear Collection is based on Ian’s passion for casual clothing started to be produced after the Second World War with a more formal quality than before. The sensation of finding dead stock perfect vintage clothing and include some vintage parts or reference points, is one of his rules. Garbstore uses original fabrics often short loom made with the past in mind, Original Zippers that pay homage to the patterns used. It is not a straight repro brand, Pieces have been re-imagined and made 'Historically new'.

All products are made using only vintage union machines and are in terms of their fit reproductions from genuine vintage clothing. Denims include super rare plantation indigo short loom and classic Okayama district selvedges. All zips are vintage US talon and trims are real dead-stock vintage, Jeans and pants are tailored with 50's grip tape, all buttons are Tri-hole. Sweats and T's follow 1950's models with 420g premium weave Jersey and 200g five needle double neck for T's. The design follows the attention to detail and love for good men’s wear product set forth in the past without losing the relevance and aesthetic of a modern day clothing line.
