In 1991 a young lad named Craig Nicholas Tate was studying for his Fashion and Textile degree, in London. At the same time Craig also decided to set up the Nicholas Deakins footwear brand. Initially, there was only a run of four different styles, manufactured by W. J. Brookes. Craig knew he was exploiting a niche in the market, and the Nicholas Deakins name quickly became synonymous in the clubs and on the terraces of England’s football grounds.
 

In the 16 years, since Nicholas Deakins was launched, the brand has become a global phenomenon, generating a loyal following from fans all around the world. Such a strong following can only be garnered from innovative and original designs, as well as quality manufacturing techniques. However, even though Nicholas Deakins is a global success the brand still retains its flagship store in the very heart of Leeds!
